The Bible has been called our rule of faith and life, with rule being understood as inspiration and guide.  Presbyterians sense the Holy Spirit instructing us through our reading of the Scriptures as they witness to the forgiving and reconciling love of God revealed in the living Word of God, Jesus Christ.  The Spirit works in and through every person involved in the conversation, so we listen to each other with respect and explore different meanings with curiosity, all to discern how God desires us to show up in the world.  In Bible Study at Brentwood, we explore the passage that will be the focus of our worshiping on the following Sunday.  Click here to find the study guide that we are currently using.
